Highlands and Islands MSP Douglas Ross has announced the dates for his final summer surgery tour, saying he is “excited” to meet with constituents across Moray throughout August.

Douglas will visit over 40 communities as part of the annual tour, which begins on Tuesday 5th August at Urquhart Village Hall. Surgeries will continue on Wednesday 6th and Friday 8th August, before resuming the following week at Grant Hall in Rothes on Monday 11th August.

The tour will then continue daily throughout the week, concluding on Friday 15th August at Boharm Hall in Mulben.

Douglas says the summer surgery tour has been one of the highlights of his time serving as both an MP and an MSP, providing a valuable opportunity to hear directly from local residents about the issues that matter to them.

“Carrying out my annual summer surgery tour has always been one of my highlights as a local MP and MSP.

“It has not passed me by that this will be my final one as an MSP, and I’m excited to get going at the beginning of August.

“Summer recess from Parliament always offers a chance to get out and about across communities in Moray. The tour has always given me a great insight into the issues that are concerning people living and working here.

“I always try and visit as many communities as possible, and people bring a wide variety of issues — from local concerns like roads, bin collections or GP services, to national and even international matters.

“I know this year will be no different, and my team and I are ready to help with whatever issues constituents wish to raise at one of the many venues I’ll be visiting over the coming weeks.”

A full list of dates and locations is available below. No appointment is necessary to attend any of the surgeries.
